By booking services with Peace of Mommy Encapsulation, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Placenta Pick-Up (Local)

By scheduling placenta processing services, you acknowledge and agree to the following placenta pick-up and storage requirements: Pick-Up Hours Placenta pick-up is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If your delivery occurs outside of our scheduled pick-up hours, you are responsible for following proper storage procedures until your placenta can be retrieved.

Storage Requirements After Birth

Your placenta may remain at room temperature for up to 3–4 hours after delivery.
After 4 hours, the placenta must be placed in a sealed container or ziplock bag and stored at 30–40°F (normal refrigerator temperature).
The placenta must remain properly refrigerated or stored on ice in a cooler until pick-up is available.
For extended storage periods, including weekends or delays in pick-up, the placenta must be frozen until it can be picked up or delivered.

Hospital Storage Instructions

Many hospitals will provide a sealed container and ice for placenta storage. If the hospital stores your placenta in their refrigerator, you are responsible for ensuring the container is clearly labeled: “DO NOT TAKE — PATIENT IS TAKING HOME.” We strongly recommend bringing your own cooler to the hospital and keeping your placenta in your room whenever possible to help prevent misplacement or accidental disposal.

Weekend Deliveries & After-Hours Pick-Up (Local)

If you deliver during the weekend or outside of our pick-up hours, you may:

Keep your placenta in a cooler with ice until pick-up is available;
Have the hospital store your placenta according to proper refrigeration guidelines; or
Have someone take the placenta home and place it in the refrigerator or freezer until it can be retrieved.

Client Responsibility (Local)

Clients are responsible for ensuring proper storage and care of the placenta until pick-up. The placenta must be handled like a fresh food product and kept properly chilled to maintain freshness and safety. If you deliver outside of our pick-up hours and take the placenta home, you must bring it to our location in Edmond. We do not provide home pick-up services. Pick-Up Notification Please text, DM, or call 405-414-1783 when your placenta is ready for pick-up. We will provide an estimated pick-up time based on availability.

Services

Peace of Mommy Encapsulation provides Local and Nationwide Placenta Encapsulation services and optional placenta-related keepsakes and products.

We are not licensed medical providers. Our services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition and are not a substitute for professional medical care.

Eligibility

Clients certify that all health information provided is accurate and complete.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if a placenta is determined to be unsuitable for processing due to medical, safety, or quality concerns.

Local Placenta Encapsulation

Total service fee: $375
A $150 deposit is required to reserve your appointment.
The remaining balance must be paid before hospital pickup.
Service includes local placenta pickup within our designated service area and placenta encapsulation.

Nationwide Placenta Encapsulation

Total service fee: $475
A $250 deposit is required before a shipping kit is mailed.
The remaining balance must be paid before shipping your placenta to Peace of Mommy Encapsulation.
Service includes a shipping kit, prepaid overnight shipping label, placenta encapsulation, return shipping, and one complimentary umbilical cord keepsake.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

Notify their healthcare provider of their intent to keep their placenta.
Follow all storage, refrigeration, and shipping instructions.
Ensure the placenta is released by the hospital or birth facility.
Provide accurate information on all registration forms.
Submit payments according to the payment schedule.
Notify Peace of Mommy Encapsulation promptly after delivery.

Shipping (Nationwide)

Clients are responsible for preparing the placenta according to the instructions included in the shipping kit.

While we provide prepaid shipping materials, we cannot guarantee carrier delivery times or prevent delays caused by weather, holidays, mechanical failures, or other events beyond our control.

Processing Times

Processing generally takes approximately 2–3 business days after we receive the placenta.

Processing times are estimates and may vary due to shipping delays, hospital procedures, weather, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

No Medical Guarantees

Individual experiences with placenta encapsulation vary.

Peace of Mommy Encapsulation makes no guarantees regarding physical, emotional, hormonal, breastfeeding, or health-related outcomes resulting from our services.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peace of Mommy Encapsulation shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our services.

Responsibility for the storage, handling, and consumption of placenta capsules transfers to the client upon delivery.

Changes to Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
